You'll probably laugh but... I'm probably the last person you know that is now just starting to read 'Mistborn' by Brandon Sanderson.
I usually don't read much fantasy stories but this book has got me really hooked.
Even a focus-deficit gal like me has been persistently reading a few pages daily to find out what happens next.
There are many interesting occurrences and quotes in the story that is very relatable to real life, I can see why it's one of the top sellers for the genre.
I'm still working on it, don't give me any spoilers:)
There has been a lot of things going on for the first half of the year.
I had the pleasure to visit my parents and other families. We enjoy the reunion and ate a lot(of course).
Now I'm pretty burnt out from all human interactions and need time to just be a sluggish being and recollect my conscious.
I need to hermit and take a long nap.
Cat-sitting is incredibly therapeutic.
It's especially dandy to have a cat in your lap while you read Mistborn. My life is complete.
What? Am I crazy cat lady? How can you tell...
I'm finally not slaved to my phone with a headset because I finally got a wireless headphone!
I've been jogging almost every morning and walking around the house with it.
It's so useful for that it saves a clumsy goofball like me to finally stop dropping the phone and yank the headphones out of my ear, what a relief!
The other model I tried was similar to Apple headset but the earbuds fall out too easily so I prefer the Wingmarg headset because it fits perfectly.
Now I am more motivated to jog more since I can listen to more podcasts with these earbuds.
You'll laugh at me again but...I didn't know what blueberry trees look like until I did my first blueberry picking.
Thank goodness the trees are not too tall so it's perfect for a petite girl like me to get the delicious berries.
I had a full blasting blue mouth full of antioxidant that whole week from the 1-2 lb bucket full of blueberries!
My luggage broke...it finally had enough with my travels.
Looking at the bright side, I can get a new replacement because I have a 10-year warranty on this one but I'm really hoping my new luggage won't fail so quickly on me.
Coming back to America it's no doubt I had to get some new credit cards to rack up some more points.
The current best credit card offer is the Chase Sapphire Reserved.
This card gives you 50,000 bonus points after spending $4000 in the first 3 months, $100 credit for Global Entry, priority lounge passes, and whopping $300 annual travel credit.
The annual fee is $450 but with all the perks, I'd say it's worth it.
This is an incredible deal I hope you won't miss it!
I found some interesting app to download. In case you didn't already use them:
● Hoopla Digital - Cool app that allows you to borrow movies, music, audiobooks, and ebooks without library card needed.
● Ibotta - Practical app that allows you to get cash back and rebats on certain items while you shop at your favorite store, like Amazon.
● SlideJoy - This app pays you to display adds on your phone. And each time you swipe, you earn points. With the earned points you can exchange to buy stuff you like from your favorite store, like, the Amazon, or cash into your Paypal.
All of these apps are used by myself within this 3 months. I have yet to exchange anything with my points on Slidejoy but I'm content with Hoopla and Ibotta.
Although I hate talking on the phone I still got a Cricket account.
Smart phones are only useful when there is wi-fi or data.
I often apply for new Sim cards when I travel to foreign countries or use the One Sim card when I'm on-the-go, but Cricket Wireless has really good value for their plans.
Their unlimited data plan is really good value and they have some add-on features that are rather useful.
You can get group discounts if you have a family and you can accumulate Cricket Reward points for redemption on phone credit and other perks.
Their customer service is nice & helpful and you can easily log in to your account via web or app.
It's simple and easy for someone who just wants something simple so I highly recommend anyone who's traveling to the US to use their service.
Being back in America means it's time to catch up on first world drama.
For the past few months, I've been busy updating myself with the latest drama like House of Cards,
Newsroom, and Stranger Things.
Gosh I have so much to catch up...
House of Cards had an unexpected twist to the plot.
Game of Thrones continues with killings and dragons.
Thanks to my sister's recommendation, The Newsroom & Stranger Things are both new to me but they sure kept me on the edge of my sofa.
I've already marked my Google Calendar for Stranger Things 2 in October because I'm really looking forward to that. It was such a great show!
Man...I feel like Imy brain experienced a MAJOR system upgrade after all these updates.
